About Putrajaya
Covering an area of 4,932 hectares, Putrajaya is the administrative centre for the Federal Government which epitomizes the vision of a modern Malaysia with the latest infrastructure and modern facilities. Putrajaya embodies the country's heritage and allows its Malaysian soul and spirit to come alive through the city's design and architecture.
The centrepiece of Putrajaya and the single prevailing element which holds the city together is its 650-hectare man-made lake and wetlands. Stretching across the city's different precincts, from the Sungai Chuau and Sungai Bisa basin down to the main dam at the southernmost part of the city, Putrajaya Lake was created to promote quality urban living.
